Holiday Crafts for Haiti
This year we will not be able to have our Holiday Crafts for Haiti in the Narthex because of the virus. However, you can still purchase Fall and Christmas crafts, as well as teacup candles and arrangements, through a new website that was created for this purpose. Visit the “Fruits of the Spirit” website and scroll through the categories of crafts. https://sites.google.com/view/creationsbyjoditraub/home
Contact Jodi Traub at 630-882-9000 or email@example.com, or Layla Groleau at 630-673-1762 or firstname.lastname@example.org, to make a purchase. Your Holiday crafts will be delivered to your door with a smile. All of the proceeds from purchases by SKD parishioners will go to Hope for Haitians. Due to increased mitigations from the State of Illinois, the Nov. 29 open house has been CANCELLED.

That is the ambition of “Operation Embrace”, the first initiative of a brand new ministry at St. Katharine Drexel. The Enriching Lives Ministry is looking for parishioner volunteers to send notes and cards to members of our faith community. Are you interested in being a ray of sunshine? Sign up below or call the parish office for more details.

It has long been a Catholic understanding that when circumstances prevent one from receiving Holy Communion, it is possible to make an Act of Spiritual Communion, which is a source of grace. Spiritual Communion is an ardent desire to receive Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament and lovingly embrace him at a time or in circumstances when one cannot receive Him in sacramental Communion. The most common reason for making an Act of Spiritual Communion is when a person cannot attend Mass. Acts of Spiritual Communion increase our desire to receive sacramental Communion and help us avoid the sins that would make us unable to receive Holy Communion worthily. Spiritual Communion Prayer
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love you above all things and I desire to receive you in my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally,
Come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace you as if you were already there
And unite myself wholly to you.
Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.
