Adult Faith Formation

A Spiritual Pilgrimage

At critical times throughout Salvation History, God’s people have been invited to consecrate themselves. We are at one of those critical times in history, and consecrating ourselves, our families, our country, and indeed, the whole world to the Eucharist may make all the difference.

Join fellow SKD parishioners on this pilgrimage — We’ll use the book “33 Days to Eucharistic Glory” by Matthew Kelly, as our guide. Books are available for $20 from the office. It is primarily an independent study, but we will meet weekly on Monday evenings to share high lights and have discussions. Prior to each meeting, there will also be an opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration from 6 – 7pm. Our first meeting will be April 8th, and we’ll begin reading on April 9th. Our consecration will take place after the 4:30 Mass on the vigil of The Ascension of The Lord, on May 11th.

Please let us know you are interested in this pilgrimage by registering on the SKD SignUpGenius page.  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C044CA5AF28A7F94-48397249-33days#/

RCIA – Becoming Catholic
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

We would like to invite anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic faith to come and discover what we believe as Catholics. The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults or RCIA program explores the faith in a small group format. Classes are held most Wednesday evenings.

The RCIA program is also for those who were baptized Catholic, but did not receive any or all of the other Sacraments (Reconciliation, Eucharist, Confirmation) as a child.

Finally, for those of you who would just like a “refresher” course in what we believe as Catholics, you are welcome to join us!

Still wondering if this is something that you should take part in?
Listen to this encouraging witness from two of our 2018 RCIA participants!

Questions? Contact the Parish Office, 630-466-0303, if you are interested in learning more!
